Training Philosophy
Avery comes to us as our strength coach after finishing a very successful 4 year college career in which he won conference accolades at WebsterUniversity and the University of Missouri – St. Louis. His success is attributed to the work he put into developing and executing his own strength programs which allowed him to add 13 MPH to his fastball from hisJunior year in high school to his freshman year of college.
Avery was previously a head coach of the Recruits organization in St. Louis. He continues growing and developing his training programs by working closely with some of the best in the business including current Tampa BayRays pitcher, Josh Fleming, former minor leaguer, Branch Kloess, and former head strength coach of the Atlanta Braves, Matt Saitz.
